Greg and I met with Grace and Efren today to shoot an E-session. Their wedding is coming up in a mere 2 weeks!! One of the reasons this is so soon to the wedding is that Efren, who lives up in Toronto & Grace just returning from living down in Florida, both just got to California a week ago. They truly do have an international relationship. But, family is out here, and so is the wedding.
I am so glad they took time out of their crazy schedule to have this shoot. We headed down to Costa Mesa for some shooting at The Lab, aka The Anti-Mall, then followed up at The Camp, which is a brisk jaywalk across the street. Before heading down there, Grace made it clear that she really doesnt like kissing in public, and of course, we’d never do anything to make our brides feel uncomfortable. About 2o minutes into the shoot, it must’ve been one of Grace’s piercing looks into Efren’s eyes, and the boy couldn’t contain himself….haha. They kissed….and on their own!! Needless to say, it wasn’t too much of an issue after that. Through my directing or just on their own, it did happen again and again. Maybe Grace was just kidding!! It doesn’t matter anyways….they are so cute together and madly in love, so why hold back.
The wedding is just around the corner and can’t wait to see both of you soon!!
Here are a few from the day…..and for those “serious” shots, they only lasted a few frames till the goofiness came out.

Today, we made our way from Huntington Beach down to San Juan Capistrano and met Angela and Wildon to shoot their engagement session. They are so down to earth and both have such sweet personalities!! I love it when couples are willing to do anything during their shoot, and these two went right along with everything throughout the day. We first romped through San Juan Capistrano, made our way to a dusty field of flowers with beat up old cars, and barely had enough time to hit the beach before sunset. If it wasnt so late we would have had them jump in the water too….haha. Was quite the whirlwind tour for the day. Their wedding is just around the corner, slated for the end of April in Laguna Beach and we cannot wait. In fact, Greg’s brother will be Wildon’s Best Man, so it will definitely have a family-like feel on this occasion.

Ive had this day planned for awhile now and it finally arrived. It was our first for 2008 and also our first Indian reception. I missed the wedding, but that may have been due to the fact that it took place in India a little while ago. Coming down from Huntington Beach was a little scary as some rain started falling during the drive. It sprinkled throughout the day, but it did not put a damper on anything. Still, this was such an unbelievable event. When I first saw Malisa, she was absolutely stunning, as was the whole night. We were a little limited on time, but things usually have a way of falling into place and they certainly did this time. Even had about 10 minutes to stop by a small field of flowers, setup a quick shoot in the dark, and get Malisa and Pali back to finish all the odds and ends. Everything in the ballroom was setup on time and looked beautiful. With the whole mix of good food, great people, and the DJ getting everyone going, it was a great way to start the year. Thanks to Pali and Malisa for letting us enjoy your special day!!
Pali looking pretty darn good, but just wait till you see what he has to compete against….
